Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of zapvert.com, a free online file converter operated by Codelaice (codelaice.co.za), South Africa. By using zapvert you agree to them.
The service
zapvert converts files between formats. It is free, needs no account, and is offered "as is". Current limits are 100 MB per file and 20 conversions per hour per connection; we may change limits or features at any time.
Your files
- You keep all rights to the files you upload and the files you get back. We claim no ownership.
- You must have the right to convert the files you upload. Do not upload content that is illegal or that infringes someone else's copyright, privacy or other rights.
- We delete files right after conversion, so keep your own copies. We cannot recover a file for you.
Acceptable use
Do not abuse the service: no attempts to bypass limits, overload or attack our servers, upload malware, or use zapvert as a backend for another service without our permission. We may block access that breaks these terms.
No warranty
Conversions are done by automated tools and may sometimes fail or lose formatting, quality or metadata. Always check the result before relying on it. The service may be unavailable at times.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, zapvert is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Privacy
How we handle your files and data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not take away consumer rights you have under the laws of your own country.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use zapvert means you accept it.
